The Turkish property market is witnessing the early stages of a massive boom triggered by an important change in the law relating to the ownership of property by foreigners.

This change only took place at the end of 2002, and property values have been rısıng steeply ever since. Depending on the location, property in Turkey has risen in price by between 20% to 25% in the last year alone. However, having started from a relatively low base property prices in Turkey are still very affordable offering some of the best value for money in the Mediterranean.
 
With the introduction in 2007 of mortgages in Turkey for residents and foreigners it is now possible to borrow 65% loan to value. The inevitable result will be that demand for property will continue to increase and prices will rise.
 
Turkey also has one of the world’s fastest growing economies, and is attracting a massive amount of investment and interest from overseas. Turkey’s application to join the EU is under discussion, and if accepted property prices will be set to rise further.
 
The Turkish government are committed to developing and promoting the South West coastal area as a prime tourist destination, and have allocated a massive budget to ensure this is achieved.

Demand for property in Turkey is on the increase. Turkey attracts approximately 15 million visitors a year and the tourism infrastructure is very well established with Turkey being the 3rd most popular holiday destination in Europe.

There is something for everyone in Turkey; great beaches, mountain scenery, a rich cultural history and the people are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality. Soon there will also be golf courses! The hot, sunny climate provides a 26-week season adding to the rental potential.

Buying Investment Property in Turkey
There are no restrictions on foreigners owning, purchasing or investing in land or property and you are free to transfer sale proceeds or rental income out of the country.

There are regular daily flights to Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir, which serve the main holiday destinations, during the summer season (May to October) some of these are via Istanbul.
